Pedro Molina, President
President and founder of Aztec Fitness and Wellness, Pedro is a 19-year veteran of the fitness industry. He is certified by the American Council on Exercise and holds a B.A. in Business from San Diego State University. As a Personal Trainer and Health Coach, he designs and maintains Corporate Wellness Programs for companies, including Hologic, Inc., Nissan Design America, Scripps Health, County Collaborative Charter, and Alliance Residential. His corporate wellness programs have been recognized with the Healthiest Employer Award by the San Diego Business Journal. Pedro is a sub 3-hour marathoner and is sponsored by the Brooks Running Inspire Daily Program. He lives with his wife of 17 years, two boys, and the best daughter in the whole world.
Jason Karp Ph.D.
Dr. Karp received his PhD. from Indiana University in 2007 , his master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. His research in the field of exercise physiology has been published in scientific journals. A prolific writer, Jason has more than 400 published articles in running, coaching, and fitness magazines and scientific journals and is the author of eight books. His best-known titles include The Inner Runner, Run Your Fat Off, and Running a Marathon For Dummies. Running has taken him all over the U.S. and the world, including running with the Kenyans in Kenya, coaching at colleges and high schools from Lakewood to La Jolla, teaching certification courses and speaking at conferences from Taiwan to Turkey, and competing at the World Maccabiah Games in Israel.
Brenda Rivera, Fitness Professional
Brenda has been active in assisting group and personal fitness training for over 10 years; from Puerto Rico, to New Jersey, to California. She is a NASM-certified personal trainer, specializing in Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, Nutrition and Weight-Loss. Brenda is also certified for Group classes in Zumba, P90X, Bootcamp and Core. She currently serves her private clients, corporate and group sessions and also the HTHCV Cross country team, incorporating High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), strength and Conditioning and more.
Kelly Carter, Yoga Instructor
San Diego based certified Yoga Teacher has been sharing the art of Yoga across the U.S. for over 5 years. She loves Yoga because it is an offering of peace, a place to experiment and have fun!
Her classes are designed to inspire practitioners to let go and dance with the present moment. She is trained in multiple disciplines of Yoga and received a RYT-500 certification through Yoga Alliance studying both here and abroad. It is her passion to share the beautiful gift of self-transformation that Yoga can be.
Tah Groen, Yoga Instructor
Do what you love. This phrase echoed in her mind. With kids, a business, and a passion for her practice, she would ultimately decide to pursue a path in yoga, something she loved. “Do what you love” she told herself, and she followed her passion to teach. Tah first practiced as a teenager, inspired by a mentor to join a class at 16. The yoga fire has been burning ever since. As a yoga teacher she has developed a hands-on approach and comfortable, unique style. Tah teaches group classes, privates, and leads the Healing Touch Vinyasa teacher training program. Minnie Ruiz, Professional Dance Instructor
20 years experience in New York, Hawaii & San Diego. Certified in Zumba, Aqua Zumba & Zumba Gold (active older adults). Minnie is available for private pool parties! Raman Koshabeh, Massage Therapist and Holistic Health Practitioner
He is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. he successfully completed a rigorous 2200-hour two ear program and obtained a license in Massage Therapy. he specializes as a Holistic health Practitioner and holds certifications from the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and the college of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Raman has been running a well-established practice sine September 1998, working with a wide variety of health practitioners, such as chiropractors, acupuncturists, osteopaths, and orthopedic surgeons. Aztec Fitness utilizes Raman’s services and expertise to help his clients in a corporate setting release the tensions of prolonged sitting and inactivity as well as from overuse injury.
